The MENA Editors Network signed a significant framework agreement with the Moroccan Journalists’ Union on Friday at the Union’s headquarters in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, in the presence of several media leaders and members of the Union’s General Assembly.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in the fields of media training, journalistic capacity-building, and to open broad avenues for academic and professional partnerships, in line with the Network’s vision to expand its presence across the African continent.
Aboubakr Ibrahimoglu—CEO of MENA Editors Network:
“We consider Morocco a strategic gateway for the Network in Africa, given its rich media legacy and leading professional institutions. Developing and empowering the media sector is a top priority for us, and we look forward to promising academic partnerships in the Kingdom.”
Mustafa Al-Bahr—President of the Moroccan Journalists’ Union:
“This agreement lays the foundation for fruitful collaboration with a prestigious media network. We will work together to implement training and development programs that meet the aspirations of journalists in Morocco and the wider Arab world.”
🎖️ In recognition of his efforts in supporting Arab media and promoting regional cooperation, the Moroccan Journalists’ Union presented Aboubakr Ibrahimoglu with an honorary shield and lifetime membership, in the presence of representatives from the Union’s General Assembly.
The signing ceremony was followed by a gracious lunch and a roundtable discussion on future collaboration prospects, held in a spirit of camaraderie and mutual understanding.
